Everything You Need for a Smooth Notary Appointment
To help your appointment go as smoothly as possible, please review the requirements below before scheduling your Mobile Notary or Remote Online Notarization (RON) appointment.
Being prepared helps prevent delays and ensures your notarization can be completed efficiently and in accordance with Florida law.
General Requirements
The following requirements apply to all notary appointments, whether in person or online.
✔ Every Signer Must Be Present
Every individual whose signature requires notarization must personally appear before the notary.
- Mobile Notary appointments require the signer to be physically present.
- Remote Online Notarization (RON) appointments require the signer to appear during a live online video session.
✔ Valid Government-Issued Photo Identification
Each signer must present an acceptable government-issued photo ID.
Examples include:
- Florida Driver License
- Driver License issued by another U.S. state
- State Identification Card
- United States Passport
- Foreign Passport (when legally acceptable)
- Military Identification Card
- Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
The ID should be current or otherwise acceptable under Florida law and must clearly identify the signer.
✔ Complete Your Documents
Please complete your documents before your appointment.
Do not sign any document that requires notarization until instructed by the notary, unless the document specifically permits prior signing.
If you are unsure, wait until your appointment.
✔ All Signers Must Be Willing and Aware
Every signer must:
- Be signing voluntarily.
- Understand the document they are signing.
- Be able to communicate with the notary.
The notary cannot proceed if a signer appears unwilling, under pressure, or unable to understand the transaction.

Electronic Documents
Please upload all required documents before your scheduled appointment.

Identity Verification
RON appointments require identity verification through the approved online notarization platform.
Please ensure your identification information is accurate.
Failure to complete identity verification may prevent the notarization from proceeding.
Quiet Environment
Please join your appointment from a quiet location with adequate lighting so the notary can clearly see and communicate with you.
Witness Requirements
Some documents require one or more witnesses.
You may:
- Provide your own witness(es), or
- Purchase Witness Service during booking if available.
Please verify your document's witness requirements before your appointment.
